Reassignment Surgery
As you would expect, reassignment surgeries are those surgeries that change a person’s body to more closely fit their gender identity.The WPATH-SOC requires two more letter of patient history from mental health professionals in order for a plastic surgeon to perform reassignment surgery. These surgeries include, but are not limited to:
Penectomy – removal of the penis
Orchiectomy – removal of the testicles
Vaginoplasty – construction of the vagina and vulvo-vaginal complex
Vaginectomy – removal of the vagina
Phalloplasty – construction of the penis
Mastectomy - removal of the breasts
Mammaplasty - construction/modification of the breasts

Vaginectomy – removal of the vagina

The penis is the primary sexual organ of males, while the testicles are the gonads of the male. (To put this in perspective, the gonads of the female are the ovaries). The vagina is the genital tract of female, while the vulva (as in vulvo-vaginal complex) is the external female genitalia.
Plastic surgery can also be to change facial features or remove hair, according to an individual's preference. Of course, it is good to say again that undergoing reassignment surgery is not mandatory for transgender/nonbinary individuals.
